Great idea. Reply 10 years ago on Introduction. Reply 11 years ago on Introduction. I also made oathkeeper and oblivion but the oathkeeper isnt as good as mske and the oblivion stinks. Wow thats cool I like the teeth cuz the have the crown shape like in what causes blood vessels in the eye games and mine doesnt, also how long is that? Thanks, I'm thinking about putting tape on it like you did and then repainting it because all leyblade is holding it together is hot glue so I can't swing it at all.
Oh I almost forgot, it is 3 feet and 8 inches long. Yeah I like the teeth too. I call it the nightmare keyblade. Oh and your oblivion keyblade looks great for making it out of the materials that you did. That is more of the type of keyblade to be made out of wood. Oh OK. I could tell it wuz a PVC pipe but then you said that you cant swing it i wuz cunfused. If you want to keep it as the Nightmare Keyblade i suggest keeping the blade that way and doing something cool for the guard like demon wings or tentacles or both one on one side keyblwde on the other because if its a nightmare key you should add something that you see in nightmares to make it really cool.
Like i said in the slideshow for the keychain i used real keychains. If you how to make a keyblade out of wood it as the nightmare key or normal key once its stable you should put it on instructables :.
Cool, I will try your keychain method. I will probably keep the gaurd as it is since it is all ready on there but on my next keyblade I will make a better guard. Cool, the bottom keyring thats conected to keyblase mickey head is a keyring that clips and unclips so i can easily take it off if a wan to put the keychain on a diferent key and change how to lose stomach fat workouts keychain symbol thing. Which one are ro makin next.
Thats a good question. Probably the same keyblade but different colors. I am going to make a bond of flame keyblade later on out of wood. When I ohw the next keyblade that is when I will make an instructable.
I will probably do an instructable on wooden ones too. Do you have any idea about foam ones? Just thought I would ask :. Theres this really cool Bond of Flame key on Devianart here it is vvmasterdrfan. OK here is my finished keyblade. Now I can swing it, hit stuff with it, and it has a keychain. I did this all today. How to Make a Keyblade From Kingdom Hearts (Cheap) Step 1: Materials. Step 2: Get Outline of the Parts. Here is a picture of the keyblade parts. There is the handle, the key, and the mickey Step 3: Cut Out the Foam Board and Glue It Together.. Use the cut outs to cut out 4 layers of foam board.
I recently posted a photo instructable but the community insists that turn it into a step by step intructable detailing the build process. Heres my attempt to make an instructable for the Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts.
First things first; materials. Materials: 1. Foam Board The kind you get from Staples, get lots of it like 3 or 4 boards 2.
Spray Adhesive 3. Hot Glue 5. Super glue 6. Plumber's Tape its not what you think its for 8. Large Cap 9. Drywall Spackle Metallic Spray Paint Gold Spray Paint Filler Primer. Here is a picture of the keyblade parts. There is the handle, the key, and the mickey head. Save this picture and put it onto a Word Document. After that Enlarge it and print it out. It should come out like this. I reinforced the paper with masking tape so i can trace the outline better.
The little circle on the handle is actually indented but dont worry about that part yet. After you cut it out it should look like this- 2nd and 3rd picture. Use the cut outs to cut out 4 layers of foam board for each part. Remember that you have to cut out the handle twice, meaning 8 boards instead of 4.
After you cut it out glue 4 layers together for each part with spay adhesive. After the glue dries, sand it smooth with fine grain sandpaper. I already painted the PVC in this picture. Most high end prop makers use bondo and other expensive stuff but my budget was really limited so i used stuff from around the house.
If you dont want to put spackel directly on top of the foam board then paper mache the handle and key before you put spackle on. Spackle works in the same way as bondo, it fills in cracks and holes and gives the part a nice "sandable" coat. Use your fingers to put on the spackle, it is a lot easier and you get more coverage. Let the spackle dry for 24 hours. After you sand it, if you still have roughness or gaps then make sure you put on another coat. Sorry i dont have pictures of the spackling and priming process.
After you sand the spackle the next step is priming the piece. The primer will make sure the final product does not feel like spackle. I primed each part twice just for an extra coat. Then i hot glued the 1 inch PVC guard onto the cartridge. Then i super glued the second cartridge on and hot glued it onto the back of the guard.
I did this procedure again for the second guard. After the guard was finished I glued on the painted handles with hot glue.
Then I glued the key onto the shaft with hot glue. After the handles and the key were done i wrapped the part of the shaft within the handles with athletic tape. Question 2 years ago on Step 1. I'm from New Zealand and the materials cost a fair bit. You can use any kind of paint and adhesives so the costs vary. Use these tutorials as more of a guide than a step by step instruction.
FInd whatever is cheapest and available to you. Hi, how large do I enlarge the drawings of the handle and blade? If i print in landscape it is much larger than print in portrait. How long should the final Keyblade be from end to end? I'm sorry, but you said get a a foot or 2 of 1 inch PVC pipe??
What is it used for?? And I see you have smaller PVC pipes that you didnt list More by the author:. The first guard is supposed to be just a little shorter than the second. I painted it metallic. I put a bottle cap i found on the end to finish the pipe. Thats pretty much it. I did some touchup here and there and i put the keyblade in my room. Did you make this project? Share it with us!
